1. Project Honors:
International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) Engineering Project "FIDIC Award" Special Excellence Award, International Bridge Conference (IBC) "Gustav Lindenthal Jr. Award" Gold Award, International Road Federation (IRF Global) "Global Road Achievement Award (GRAA)" Outstanding Engineering Award, as well as the National May 1st Labor Medal, "Qianjiang Cup" Quality Engineering Award, China Highway Society Science and Technology Award First Prize, China "Bridge Engineering Innovation Award" First Prize, and so on.

2. Project Overview:
The Jiaxing-Shaoxing Grand Bridge starts from Haining City, Jiaxing City in the north and connects to Shangyu District, Shaoxing City in the south. It is another bridge spanning Hangzhou Bay, following the Hangzhou Bay Bridge. The Jiaxing-Shaoxing Grand Bridge is 10.137 kilometers long, one-third the length of the Hangzhou Bay Bridge. The bridge deck is 40.5 meters wide, with 8 lanes, and a design speed of 100 kilometers/hour. The Jiaxing-Shaoxing Grand Bridge is the longest and widest multi-tower cable-stayed bridge in the world, with a main bridge length of 2680 meters, divided into 5 main navigable channels, with a total width of 55.6 meters (including the cable zone), ranking first in the world in terms of the number of cable towers and main bridge length. The total cost of the Jiaxing-Shaoxing cross-river passage is approximately 13.9 billion yuan, with the bridge section investment reaching 6.35 billion yuan. As a world-class bridge, the Jiaxing-Shaoxing Grand Bridge has a design life of 100 years, has achieved 12 technological achievements, obtained 49 invention patents, and innovated 14 construction methods.

3. Technical Challenges:
1) The Jiaxing-Shaoxing Grand Bridge is the first time in human history that a world-class bridge has been built at the mouth of the Qiantang River, one of the three major strong tidal estuaries in the world (China's Qiantang River, Brazil's Amazon River, and India's Ganges River).
2) The Jiaxing-Shaoxing Grand Bridge creatively sets up a rigid hinge device that releases the longitudinal linear displacement of the main beam in the middle of the main navigation channel bridge span, a world first.
3) The Jiaxing-Shaoxing Grand Bridge adopted for the first time the segmental erection of continuous rigid frames using a launching machine on single-pile independent bridge piers. The north bank underwater section approach bridge is 5 kilometers long, with a total of 2878 prefabricated beam segments, requiring millimeter-level precision in prefabrication and installation, making the construction process extremely complex.
4) The Jiaxing-Shaoxing Grand Bridge is the world's first bridge to use ships to transport and install large-volume steel box girders in a strong tidal section. The main navigation channel bridge has a total of 80,000 tons of steel box girders, 374 segments, with the largest single weight reaching 374 tons. Due to the excessive flow rate during high and low tides and insufficient water depth during low tides, operations can only be carried out during high tide, with an effective operation time of only

about 1 hour. Completing more than 10 processes, from ship positioning to steel box girder hoisting, is extremely difficult.
4. Significance and Value: The Jiaxing-Shaoxing cross-river passage is an important section of China's highway network plan. After the completion of the Jiaxing-Shaoxing Grand Bridge, it not only changed the transportation structure layout of Jiaxing and Shaoxing, but also has significant meaning for improving the national and provincial road network. It will also greatly shorten the time and distance between the two sides of Hangzhou Bay, giving full play to Shanghai's leading radiation role, promoting the construction of the Hangzhou Bay Economic Zone,
