National Investment & Development Tianjin Beijiang Power Plant Prospect

Tianjin Beijiang Power Plant was established in March 2004, jointly invested by Guotou Power Co., Ltd., Tianjin Municipal Energy Investment Company, and Tianjin Changlu Hangu Saltworks Co., Ltd., with respective shares of 64%, 34%, and 2%.

Tianjin Beijiang Power Plant is located between Dashentang Village and Shuangqiaozi Village in Hangu Yingcheng Town, covering an area of 2.2 square kilometers, with a total investment of 26 billion yuan. It will adopt the world's most advanced high-parameter, large-capacity, high-efficiency, and low-pollution "ultra-supercritical power generation technology", constructing four 1 million-kilowatt clean coal-fired generating units. This is also the first use of ultra-supercritical units of the million-kilowatt level in China. At the same time, it will also be equipped with a series of high-tech facilities such as beach water intake and seawater cooling towers. The Beijiang Power Plant adopts the "power generation - seawater desalination - concentrated seawater salt production - land saving and consolidation - waste resource reuse model". The Macroeconomic Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission reviewed and concluded that this project complies with the "3R" principles of circular economy, namely reduction, reuse, and recycling. It is a typical circular economy project and ecological project that maximizes resource utilization, minimizes waste emissions, and optimizes economic benefits. After the completion and commissioning of the project, it will increase annual power generation by 11 billion kilowatt-hours; increase the production of crude salt by 450,000 tons/year, equivalent to saving 22 square kilometers of salt field land; produce about 60,000 tons/year of market-short chemical products such as bromine, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, and magnesium sulfate; In addition, through comprehensive utilization of power plant fly ash, it can digest the carbide slag produced by Tianjin chemical plants, effectively improving the environment of Hangu District.
