China Zun, Beijing

China Zun in Beijing covers an area of 1.1478 hectares and has a height exceeding 500 meters. Upon completion, it will become the tallest building in Beijing. It integrates office, business, finance, and tourism functions. The top of the building features a 12-meter-high observation deck and a 4.5-meter-high panoramic restaurant, offering a full view of the entire CBD and the scenic spots of Beijing. "China Zun" will adopt a series of low-carbon and environmentally friendly technologies, including renewable energy, high-efficiency curtain walls, energy saving and emission reduction, energy recovery, and low-carbon energy centers.

In April 2014, the China Contemporary Top Ten Architecture Review Committee selected twenty buildings from over 1000 landmark buildings in China based on four criteria: age, scale, artistry, and influence. Ten contemporary buildings were ultimately selected. China Zun was one of the shortlisted buildings. The design of "China Zun" is inspired by the image of the "zun," a precious traditional Chinese ritual vessel; the building's exterior features a rhombus pattern, originating from the image of traditional Chinese bamboo utensils; the spatial design of the building's top is inspired by the shape of a "Kongming lantern".
