Zhoushan Cross-Sea Bridge

The Zhoushan Cross-Sea Bridge (also known as the Zhoushan Mainland Connecting Island Project) is a major component of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Expressway (G9211) in the national expressway network. The bridge was invested and constructed by Zhejiang Provincial Transportation Investment Group. It starts from the ring road of Yadan Mountain on the main island of Zhoushan, passing through Liudao Island, Fuchi Island, Cezi Island, and Jintang Island in the Zhoushan archipelago, and finally reaching Zhenhai District, Ningbo, connecting with the Ningbo Ring Expressway and the Hangzhou Bay Bridge. The Zhoushan Cross-Sea Bridge spans 4 islands, crosses 9 culverts, and passes through 2 tunnels, with a total investment of 13 billion yuan. The bridge officially opened to traffic on December 25, 2009.

The Zhoushan Cross-Sea Bridge is the largest and most influential transportation infrastructure project in Zhoushan City. Constructed to expressway standards, it is 48.16 kilometers long and has a total investment exceeding 10 billion yuan. It is the world's largest island-to-mainland connection project.
