Quanzhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge

Located in Quanzhou City, the East Asian Cultural Capital and the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road, the Quanzhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge connects Jinjiang and Hui'an. With a total length of 26.699 kilometers, it is currently the longest bridge in Fujian Province. As a crucial part of Quanzhou's ring highway, the bridge significantly improves transportation between Jinjiang, Shishi, Hui'an, and Quanzhou Port, saving time and playing a vital strategic role in enhancing the Xiamen-Zhangzhou-Quanzhou Expressway network, strengthening connectivity between Quanzhou's districts, accelerating regional economic and social development, and fostering the development of Quanzhou as a bay-type city.

On July 9, 2014, the Quanzhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge in Fujian Province was fully completed. In mid-May 2015, according to the Quanzhou Municipal Transportation Commission, the bridge officially opened to traffic at 12 noon on May 12. The bridge reduces the distance between the south and north sides of the bay from 27 kilometers to 7 kilometers, shortening the drive across Quanzhou Bay to just 8 minutes.

After the completion of the Quanzhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge, along with Jinjiang Bridge and Houzhu Bridge, it forms a complete "ring" around Quanzhou Bay, making the ring highway fully connected. From the Cili Port of the Song and Yuan dynasties to the future Quanzhou Bay New City, Quanzhou has grown steadily. We will trace its development through four periods of "city circles", outlining its development history and the dramatic changes in people's lives.
