Hefu High-Speed Railway

The Hefu Passenger Dedicated Line (Hefei-Fuzhou), also known as the Hefu High-speed Railway, is an important part of the Beijing-Fuzhou High-speed Railway. It is a high-capacity passenger transport channel connecting Anhui Province to the coastal areas of Fujian Province. In the north, it connects to the Hefei hub and, via the Hefei-Bengbu Passenger Dedicated Line, to the Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway, reaching Beijing. In the middle, it intersects with the Shanghai-Hanzhong-Chongqing high-speed passenger transport channel, the Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway, the Shanghai-Nanjing-Longyan-Meizhou Railway, and the Nanping-Sanming-Longyan Railway. In the south, it connects to the Fuzhou hub. It is another double-track electrified high-speed railway following the Beijing-Tianjin, Wuhan-Guangzhou, and Zhengzhou-Xi'an high-speed railways.

The Hefu Passenger Dedicated Line is jointly constructed by China Railway Corporation and the three provinces of Anhui, Jiangxi, and Fujian. It connects many economically active and promising regions in China, with strong transport demand and economic complementarity. It is an important part of China's "Medium and Long-Term Railway Network Plan" and a major national transportation project.

The entire line officially opened on June 28, 2015.
