Harbin-Dalian High-Speed Railway

The Harbin-Dalian High-Speed Railway (Harbin-Dalian Passenger Dedicated Line) is a key project of the country's Eleventh Five-Year Plan and an important component of the Beijing-Harbin Passenger Dedicated Line in the "four vertical and four horizontal" passenger dedicated line network of the country's Medium and Long-Term Railway Network Plan. It is currently the highest-standard high-speed railway designed and constructed in China's northernmost severely cold region. The Harbin-Dalian High-Speed Railway officially opened on December 1, 2012. It runs from Harbin, Heilongjiang Province in the north to Dalian, Liaoning Province in the south, traversing the three northeastern provinces and passing through four prefecture-level cities (Harbin, Changchun, Shenyang, and Dalian) and six prefecture-level cities and their subordinate counties. It is 921 kilometers long and is a double-track electrified railway. 81 kilometers are within Heilongjiang Province, 270 kilometers in Jilin Province, and 553 kilometers in Liaoning Province. There are a total of 23 stations along the route.
