Kunshan South Railway Station

Kunshan South Railway Station, located in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, lies south of the Shanghai-Nanjing Railway, north of the Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, and west of Changjiang Road. It is 1.7 kilometers from the existing Kunshan Station and is under the jurisdiction of Suzhou Station, Shanghai Railway Bureau. It is built alongside the Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway and connects to the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway, the Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway, and the Shanghai-Hanzhong Railway.

Kunshan South Railway Station features an underground station building, designed conceptually from the image of a ‘twin lotus’. The roof presents a ‘smooth and rounded’ form, higher in the middle and lower on both sides, creating an undulating overall shape that is both beautiful and dynamic, resembling a lotus flower and reflecting distinct regional characteristics. The station roof is divided into a central station canopy and two side station canopies, covering an area of approximately 38,000 square meters. The station has 4 platforms and 12 tracks, including 4 main lines and 8 arrival/departure lines. The platforms are four island platforms.
