Guangxi LNG Project

The Beihai LNG Project is a national key project jointly constructed by Sinopec, Guangxi Investment Group, and Beibu Gulf International Port Group. Starting from the Beihai receiving station, the gas pipeline is 2125.48 kilometers long. Upon completion, the project will supply gas to 14 cities in Guangxi and 2 cities in western Guangdong, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 20 million tons annually for Guangxi and western Guangdong.

The project is located in the Beihai City Tieshan Port Area, South Port Pool Petrochemical Operating Area, in the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone of Guangxi. Construction includes two parts: wharf and receiving station engineering, and external transmission pipeline engineering. The wharf and receiving station project includes: 1 LNG berth for 80,000-266,000 cubic meters vessels, 1 work boat wharf and corresponding supporting facilities, 4 LNG storage tanks (160,000 cubic meters each), and systems for LNG unloading, pressurization, gasification, metering, transportation, loading, and public utilities. The gas pipeline project starts from the Beihai LNG receiving station and extends to 10 cities in Guangxi and 2 cities in Guangdong. Phase one construction includes 717 kilometers of pipeline, 12 stations, and 27 valve chambers, divided into 6 construction sections.

The completion and commissioning of the LNG project is of great significance to optimizing the energy structure, ensuring energy security, achieving energy conservation and emission reduction, improving people's lives, and promoting economic development in Beihai and Guangxi.
