Yangjiang Nuclear Power Plant, Guangdong

Yangjiang Nuclear Power Plant is the second nuclear power base of China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN) in Guangdong Province. The project plans to use CGN's own brand CPR1000 technology. The first phase of the project plans to build four million-kilowatt-class pressurized water reactor nuclear power units. The construction and operation are undertaken by CGN Yangjiang Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. Located in Yangjiang City, on the western coast of Guangdong, the plant has a total investment of nearly 70 billion yuan. It is the fourth nuclear power plant built by CGN after the Lingao Phase II, Dalian Hongyanhe, and Ningde Nuclear Power Plants, following the national policy of "actively promoting nuclear power construction".
