Pakistan M4 Motorway

The M4 motorway is a north-south highway, starting from Faisalabad in central Punjab province and ending in Multan in the southern part of the province. It is 243 kilometers long. The project is funded by the World Bank with 42 billion rupees (approximately $520 million) and a construction period of three years. Upon completion, the project will connect Highway 3 (M3, Faisalabad to Lahore and Islamabad) and Highway 5 (M5, Multan to D.G. Khan), promoting interconnectivity of Pakistan's national transportation network, significantly improving its transportation capacity and speed, and thus boosting national economic and social development. It is an important part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
