The HD-ZRJ5 composite flame retardant is made by compounding various inorganic, environmentally friendly materials in a certain proportion, and mainly plays its role through the condensed phase flame retardant mechanism.

        Under high heat, this flame retardant system can form a very thick expanded carbon layer on the surface of the asphalt, thereby stopping the combustion at the early stage of burning. The expanded carbon layer is a multiphase system with very high flame retardant properties, containing nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and other elements, and its main role in reducing the flammability of asphalt is from the following aspects:

        1. The carbonized layer makes it difficult for heat to penetrate and Enter the condensed phase, playing a heat insulation role;

        2. The carbonized layer can prevent oxygen from diffusing from the surrounding medium into the degrading asphalt, isolating the asphalt from oxygen;

        3. The carbonized layer can prevent gaseous or liquid products generated by asphalt degradation from escaping the asphalt surface.

HD-ZRJ5 composite flame retardantHas the following characteristics:

üThe product is added in the form of external admixture, without affecting the original gradation of the asphalt mixture.

üRoad performance tests and combustion simulation tests on composite flame-retardant asphalt mixtures show that the HD-ZRJ5 composite flame retardant can improve the high-temperature stability performance of asphalt mixtures and play a significant flame-retardant and smoke-suppressing role during combustion.

üThermal analysis of composite flame-retardant asphalt shows that the addition of HD-ZRJ5 composite flame retardant can shift the thermogravimetric curve of asphalt to a high-temperature direction, and significantly inhibit the burning degree of asphalt. The dense carbon layer formed by the flame retardant under high temperature will coat the asphalt, thus achieving flame retardancy, smoke suppression, and low toxicity.
