HD-PZ4 High-Efficiency Expansive Agent

I. Product Overview
HD-PZ4 concrete high-efficiency expansive agent is a high-performance, low-dosage, new type of high-efficiency shrinkage-reducing, crack-resistant, and water-proof product, prepared by using rotary kiln special calcination process to produce expansive clinker and other functional materials. This product has good durability and high expansion rate, capable of improving concrete performance, preventing concrete cracking, reducing leakage, and improving concrete strength..
The product meets the national industry standards such as GB23439-2017 "Concrete Expansive Agent" and GB50119-2013 "Application Technical Specification for Concrete Admixtures".


II. Scope of Application
This product has the characteristics of reducing concrete hydration heat, improving concrete strength and impermeability, and compensating for concrete shrinkage. It is mainly suitable for underwater projects, flood control projects, and various large-scale concrete construction projects.


III. Main Technical Performance Indicators
1. High expansion efficiency. With a low dosage of 3~6%, the 7d limited expansion rate of cement mortar can reach more than 0.05 according to GB 23439-2017. Under the condition of achieving similar expansion effect, the dosage of the product is more than 30% lower than that of ordinary expansive agents;
2. Good coordination between expansion and strength development. By controlling the amount of expansion phase generation and the expansion rate of the two expansion sources, an expansion rate coordinated with the concrete strength development can be obtained;
3. Effectively inhibits autogenous shrinkage. After the product is added to the concrete, it can also expand under dry conditions, effectively improving the autogenous shrinkage of low water-cement ratio high-performance concrete, producing self-expansion and stable expansion. The expansion generated can be converted into compressive stress, which can offset the shrinkage tensile stress in the hardening of concrete, thus improving the cracking problem of concrete;
4. Significantly reduces drying shrinkage. Under standard drying conditions without curing, the product can also produce relatively large effective expansion, and the effect of reducing drying shrinkage of concrete is significant;
5. Strong crack resistance and water-proof ability. The active chemical substances contained in the product can react with the hydration products of cement to generate insoluble crystals. The crystals continuously fill the pores, improving the density of concrete and achieving the purpose of water-proofing and crack resistance;
6. High durability. The product has low alkali content, and adding it to high-performance concrete can also effectively improve the pore structure, promote the hydration of admixtures, effectively reduce the carbonation depth, improve the frost resistance and impermeability of concrete, inhibit steel corrosion and resist various harmful media corrosion, providing a fundamental guarantee for the durability of high-performance concrete.

 

IV. Usage and Precautions
1. Dosage. The commonly used dosage is 3~6% of the amount of cementitious materials. If special requirements are required for expansion performance, the dosage can be increased to 6~10%;
2. Mixing. It should be added to the mixer together with cement, sand, and stones and should not be pre-dissolved with water. The mixing time should be appropriately extended until the mixture is uniform (generally, the forced mixer is extended by about 30s, and the twin-cone or self-falling mixer is extended by about 45s);
3. Surface finishing. Specialized personnel are needed. After initial setting and before final setting, repeated pressing should be carried out to prevent surface shrinkage cracks from appearing;
4. Curing. The product can effectively inhibit the drying shrinkage and self-drying shrinkage of high-performance concrete, but it cannot solve the plastic cracks and settlement cracks in the plastic stage. Therefore, after the concrete using the product is cast, early curing should be strengthened, just like ordinary concrete, especially for large-flow concrete, timely measures such as covering and water retention should be adopted, and direct sunlight should be avoided. For hardened concrete, the water retention curing time of concrete should be extended as much as possible, the surface should not be directly sprinkled with water, and water retention can be achieved using plastic film, and thermal insulation materials such as rock wool should be covered on the upper part of the film; the side wall panel demolding time should be no less than 5 days, and wet curing should be maintained before demolding, and no external force of any form should be applied to the side wall panel. Water-proofing layer should be done in time, and backfilling should be completed as soon as possible;
5. Reinforcement suggestion. The reinforcement of thin plate (wall) structures should be fine and dense. For exposed structures, the transverse reinforcement should be placed outside the longitudinal reinforcement as much as possible;
6. Temperature control: Concrete containing this product cannot be used in projects where the working environment is permanently above 80℃. When the construction temperature is below 5℃, insulation measures should be taken before construction.


V. Packaging and Storage
1. The product is packaged in paper-plastic composite kraft paper bags. Each bag weighs 25kg~50kg net weight and can be customized according to needs. 2. During transportation and storage, the product should not be damp or mixed with impurities, and should be stored in a sealed, dry, cool, and ventilated place.
3. The shelf life of the product is 12 months. After the shelf life, it can still be used if it passes the test.
