The total investment in the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway project is45.487trillion Vietnamese dong (approximately130billion RMB yuan), funded by the Vietnam Development Bank.

 

The expressway starts from the Hanoi Third Ring Road, passing through the two major provinces of Hung Yen and Hai Duong in the north and south, and ends at Dinh Vu Port in Hai An District, Hai Phong City (Dinh Vu), with a total length of105.5kilometers, constructed toAclass highway standards, with6lanes, a design speed of120km/h,average cross-sectional width100meters, road width32.5~35meters, including two emergency lanes. The project has a total of9large interchanges,21medium-sized interchanges,22interchanges and road drainage ditches, and on both sides there are more than164kilometers of roads to connect to local roads for public use.

 

The Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway is the first expressway in Vietnam built to international standards. It is an important part of the national expressway network planned by the Vietnamese government and a high-speed channel connecting Vietnam's capital, Hanoi, and the important northern port of Hai Phong. It reduces travel time from the previous2.5hours to1.5hours, effectively improving traffic conditions between Hanoi and Hai Phong, increasing logistics efficiency in northern Vietnam, and playing an important positive role in Vietnam's economic development.
