The Cameroon National Assembly building project is located in Yaoundé, the capital city of Cameroon, with a construction area of 3.75 square meters. The project includes the National Assembly office building, a semi-circular conference hall, ancillary rooms for the conference hall, a celebration hall, a fire and security building and equipment rooms, a guardhouse and other functional buildings, as well as ancillary facilities within the construction site. From its inception, it has become a landmark building in Yaoundé.
The Cameroon National Assembly building was hit by a major fire a few years ago. The construction site of the new assembly building not only completely covers the original assembly building, but also requisitioned the adjacent school and some residential land, with a land area 5 times larger than the original building.
The Cameroon National Assembly building project is an important project under the economic cooperation between China and Cameroon, and a vivid embodiment of the traditional friendship between China and Cameroon.
