Entebbe International Airport, located on the shores of the sparkling Lake Victoria, is Uganda's only international airport, initially constructed in1974Due to years of neglect, its infrastructure is quite outdated. Furthermore, its originally designed passenger throughput capacity is far too small to meet the ever-increasing demands of air transportation.

 

The Entebbe International Airport expansion and renovation project mainly includes the construction of a new terminal building(20000square meters)a new cargo center building(10000square meters)the addition of17/35runway and associated taxiways, the expansion and addition of1number2number4number12/30runway and associated taxiways, on-site water supply and drainage systems, fire protection systems and related ancillary facilities. The expansion and renovation project will comprehensively upgrade the overall passenger and cargo throughput capacity and service level of Entebbe International Airport to meet new operational needs. Simultaneously, Entebbe Airport's new, convenient facilities and high-level services will attract tourists from around the world, which will become an important driver of national economic development. Furthermore, the renovated Entebbe International Airport will also play an important role in enhancing Uganda's international status and image, attracting more foreign investment and business opportunities, and promoting regional economic integration and trade cooperation.

 

The implementation of the Entebbe International Airport expansion and renovation project has created numerous jobs for the local area, improving residents' income and quality of life. The project not only employed many local young people, but also focused on training local employees in job skills and comprehensive business capabilities, teaching them knowledge and skills hands-on, and cultivating a large number of local middle and senior managers with high comprehensive qualities and strong business capabilities.
